CBCT Scans (Cone Beam Computed Tomography)

CBCT scanners produce instant & highly detailed 3D images of your teeth, jawbone, nerves and surrounding tissues at a low radiation level.

The CBCT 3D technology allows for safer and more accurate dental procedures, especially in complex or surgical cases.

CBCT scans are used in dentistry for:

  • Implant planning
  • Sinus evaluation for implant placements
  • Root canal treatment
  • Surgical extractions, including wisdom teeth
  • Jaw joint (TMJ) assessments

OPT Scans (Orthopantomogram)

OPT scans, also known as OPG or Panoramic X-Rays, are a broad diagnostic tool offering a 2D panoramic view of your entire mouth within a single image and at a low radiation level.

OPT scans are quick and non-invasive – ideal for new patient assessments and pre-treatment planning.

OPT scans are used in dentistry for:

  • Wisdom tooth evaluations
  • Orthodontic planning
  • Detecting infections or cysts
  • Reviewing jawbone structures
  • Monitoring periodontal health

IOS (Intra Oral Scan)

Intra Oral Scans (IOS) capture high-definition 3D images of your teeth, gums, and soft tissues in real time. This mess-free, quick, and highly accurate technology enhances comfort and speeds up processes for orthodontic and restorative treatments such as implant restorations, crowns, bridges, and dentures.

Patients can see a digital model of their teeth instantly, making treatments more interactive and engaging, and helping them visualize their treatment.

Our Intra Oral scanner’s benefits include:

  • Faster crown, bridge, and orthodontic workflows
  • Increased comfort with no putty impressions
  • Instant visualization of treatment options
  • Enhanced communication between dentists and patients

X-rays

X-rays, also known as Radiographs, are a localised 2D image of the interior of teeth, surrounding structures & gums.
There are two types of X-rays: Bitewing and IOPA, which are routinely used during oral
examinations to assist your dentist with checking, monitoring, diagnosing problems, and planning treatments with precision.

Bitewing X-rays

Bitewing X-rays show the upper and lower back teeth in one image.

Bitewing X-rays are used for detecting:

  • Cavities between teeth
  • Bone loss from gum disease
  • Problems under old fillings or crowns

IOPA (Intraoral Periapical) X-rays

IOPA X-rays focus on one or two teeth at a time, showing the entire tooth and the surrounding bone.

IOPA X-rays are used for detecting:

  • Tooth infections or abscesses
  • Deep decay
  • Root and bone problems
  • Progress of root canal treatments
  • Root shape for extraction planning
