Orthodontics is a specialist branch of dentistry, used ultimately to straighten and/or reduce gaps between teeth. With over 16 years experience in all aspects of orthodontics, we offer a comprehensive range of new and traditional orthodontic treatments including both removable and fixed braces.

By offering this diverse range of orthodontic treatments and appliances we are able to provide you with the suitable choice to meet your personal and oral needs.

Using the latest digital technology, we demonstrate how orthodontic treatments could dramatically change the aesthetic appearance of your teeth. Orthodontic treatments also help to reduce the risk of decay or periodontal disease connected with crooked, overcrowded and misaligned teeth. The long term benefits of orthodontic treatment can also include improved speech and chewing, healthier teeth and the prevention of premature wear.

There are generally two stages in orthodontic treatment. First is the active treatment phase and the second is the retention phase. Fixed or removable retainers are used to hold the teeth in their new position and ensure long-term results.

Removable Braces

Removable braces or aligners are cosmetic braces that are often referred to as clear braces, invisible braces or clear aligners. They are easily removed for eating and cleaning purposes but are generally worn at all other times. Some appliances are completely clear and invisible while some are partially clear.

Fixed Braces

Fixed braces are permanent fixtures and are removed at the end of the treatment period. Brackets are either fixed to the front surfaces of your teeth referred to as Braces, or fixed behind the teeth referred to as Lingual Braces or hidden braces.

Braces and brackets come in a range of different materials and colours to suit your needs.
