Dental Implant

A dental implant is a regularly requested treatment at our clinic for the replacement of missing teeth.

Our Implant surgeon and dedicated member of our clinic has successfully placed over 6000 Strumman implants during the past 21 years. He is amongst some of the most experienced dental implant surgeon in the country.

We would confidently advise you and demonstrate how a dental implant would be a permanent and comfortable solution for you.

A dental implant is an artificial substitute or replacement for the root of the natural tooth. It is anchored into a pre-drilled socket in the jaw-bone to support an Implant crown or bridge or to secure an Implant denture firmly in place.

An immediate implant can be placed following an extraction or loss of tooth due to an injury.

The implants are made from titanium, a material that is well tolerated by bone and integrates easily with bone tissue. This process is called osseointegration and means that the once the restoration is complete, the new implant crown, bridge or denture will be secure and well supported.

There are many advantages of dental implants over other dental treatments:

  • Reduced bone loss
  • Improved function
  • Improved dental hygiene
  • No interference to adjacent healthy tooth structure
  • More aesthetically pleasing

Dental Implants may not be suitable for all patients, however there are alternative options in Prosthodontics which will fully restore the functionality and appearance of your teeth.
